In the beginning (of NIMBY!) God spoke to us directly, in the form of an advice column. God’s own children, through us, would ask God their deepest, most sensitive questions about His own universe. What they learned is that God is one testy, unpredictable bastard. Then, some time around NIMBY #6 we fell out of God’s grace and he spake to us no more, for reasons our sinful flesh may never know.
